It will always give His Believers the greatest calm, quiet, ease, and peace, to think of the perfect Father in Christ Jesus. How often are the saints of God downcast and sad! I do not think they ought to be. I do not think they would if they could always see their perfection in Christ Jesus. There are some who are always talking about corruption, and the depravity of the heart, and the innate evil of the soul. This is quite true, but why not go a little further, and remember that We are "perfect in Christ Jesus."( The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.Psalm 138:7-8) It is no wonder that those who are dwelling upon their own corruption should wear such downcast looks; but surely if We call to mind that "Christ is made unto us righteousness,"( And you are complete in Him Jesus Christ, who is The Head of all principality and power.Colossians 2:9-11) We shall be of good cheer. What though distresses afflict us, though Satan assault us, though there may be many things to be experienced before I get to heaven, those are done for us in the Covenant of Divine Love, Grace and Mercy; there is nothing wanting in our Lord God, Christ has done it All. On The Cross He said, "It is finished!" and if it be finished, then We are complete in Jesus Christ, and can rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, "Not having our own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ and in Christ Jesus, the righteousness which is of God by faith." You will not find on this side heaven a holier people than those who receive into their hearts the doctrine of Christ's righteousness. When the Believers say, "I live on Christ alone because God said in Him I Am well pleased;(“Behold! My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased! I will put My Spirit upon Him, And He will declare justice to the Gentiles.Matthew 12:17-19 ) I rest on Him solely for Salvation; and I believe that, however unworthy, We are or feel We're still saved in Jesus;"( Acts 4:12 Nor is there Salvation in Any Other, for there is No Other Name under Heaven given among men by which We Must Be Saved.”) then there rises up as a motive of gratitude this thought..."Believers, Shall We not live for Christ His Kingdom Church Bride? Shall We not love Him and serve Him, seeing that We are saved by His merits and by His Blood?" "The love of Christ drives us," "that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves but unto Christ Jesus which died for them."
