For Without The Lord Jesus Christ,  What Profits A Person If They Gain The Whole World But Loses His Own Souls?

We spend more time at religious buildings on Sundays, In services,And we only really fellowship with people who we think are just like us or even have the color of our skin, cinemas, theaters, art galleries and theme parks than we do spending time with the Lord Jesus and in God's holy word, and they have become our new Idols. We can spend hours at any of these places of entertainment but if prayer and bible studies go on too long we get impatient. We love to listen to music and to dance the night away much more often than singing hymns to our Lord. We pay more to watch a football, basketball or baseball game than we support and help ministries like this one reach the nations with God's good news in Jesus Christ...

We care more about money, honors, fame, glory, recognition, entertainment, physical gratification and a myriad of other things that we do about enlightenment, spirituality, and peace in our lives. Yet even when we are satiated with the good things in life we often find ourselves feeling empty. Something seems to be missing.

Many people turn to religion, preachers, building up the world kingdom and taking care of sinners, thinking they are doing God's will, yes and even yoga, gurus, “feel-good” seminars legitimately looking for ways to fill the empty void in their lives. Others turn to alcohol, drugs, or prostitutes in their search for ways to either deaden the pain or find a source of intimacy that is missing.

Yet none of the above will provide the sense of peace for which we are all searching. Only a connection to God can provide that ultimate peace by Christ grace in faith alone. And for Christ Believers, our path to God is through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. And through His resurrection, we have been given the promise of salvation.

It is important for those of us who are Christ Believers to remember that our physical lives don’t last forever. Our souls will last for eternity, and this we should place even more emphasis on the health of our souls than the health of our bodies. The later is important to nourish but our souls also need nourishment, and that nourishment is God's love. We need to love and be loved by others. And since God is love He is the ultimate source of nourishment for our souls.

A few years from now very few of us will be remembered by anybody living at that time. So if we focus all our attention on the successes of this world what will it have gained for us. When we die our money, fame, and honors will be meaningless. We own nothing in this world. Everything we think we own is in reality only being loaned to us until we die. And on our deathbed at the moment of death, no one but The Lord Jesus can save our souls.

The happiest people I have ever seen are often times those individuals who have their trust and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, . They were people I met in parks when walking in malls in public places and Believers in Christ who are able and willing to share the God-given blessings with first their Spiritual family in Christ who are doing the heavenly Father's will... Who in a heartbeat will give up everything in order to follow Christ our Savior!! They had a sense of community and fellowship for all of God's children, and Not just the rich, wealthy, powerful and those they think are on top.

On the other end of the spectrum were the billionaires, famous actors, and elected officials that I have seen from a distance throughout the years. They clearly loved their work and excelled at it. They had achieved the spoils of this world but yet most of them were not at peace. Again, who are you going to leave it All to?

I lived much of my life in the faith of Jesus Christ and His ministry and teaching and building up the body of Jesus Christ, gaining nothing from you and a special place in our heavenly Father's house. Yes, it is exciting. Yes, of course, for a short period of time I have here on earth. But when I get to see Jesus my One and only loving Savior. The Awesome One who gave His life for me..and to hear Him say my son and my brother welcome home, Well done my good and faithful servant...You all Better work while it is called today, for our night in coming when none of us will be able to work in the Lord in our bodies here in this world. Amen.

 “For what profits a man, a woman, a young person if they gain the whole world but loses their own souls “gain the whole world” and you end up in Hell forever without hope. Looking unto Jesus Christ this entire world only hope and the only way back to God.. It would be a real tragedy to leave this world without the Lord Jesus Christ. My prayer heartfelt prayer right Now is that we will all find faith and God's amazing grace in our own lives so that we can focus our attention on helping and supporting His chosen people, the Church first and then all others rather than just ourselves. Amen with tears in my eyes!!!
