I promise my devotion, honest and true
I would give up life just for you Betty

I am at times without words to say
But I never forget to tell you that I love you each day my baby Betty

I was a child who had not much in life until one fall day
That was when God sent me you and you helped me to find my way, even when I laid my eyes on you for the very first time @ Jesus Christ Holy Temple and now going on 40 years of marriage, my heart still feels the same way, I do love you with everything in me Betty

We were young, and I could not drive
But just to walk and talk with you made me feel so alive back in those days @ 9244 East Ave O Betty

I would hold you in my arms and walk you home from school
A half mile walk it was, I did it for love and not to be cool Baby

I wanted to run from my home to yours every day to look into your eyes Betty
And while I was running, do you know what I prayed

I prayed to God that if I ran all the way
That God would make you my wife someday Betty

God did answer those prayers, it's true
Because I was blessed and able to marry you

Now here we are in trying times
Please don't give up, let's pray and I trust that we will be fine, Betty I did promise your parents I would take good care of you, and for the rest of my life down here on earth, I will Never Ever stop trying Never Ever until my last breath, Betty

I am so blessed to known you in this life
Please don't give up, I love you, my wonderful wife, Betty

We have been together in love for so long
To give up now would just be so wrong

Just look at our names and it easy to see
We were meant to be together, just you and me, James R & Betty R...

Too many it's James R and Betty R, yep that's me and you
But I promise to my God in Christ Jesus that I, James R. Winfree Sr, will always be true and love you, Betty

I love you Baby that can you see and know,
Without you, My Betty Ruth, there is no me, Baby
